In the memory of the beloved Benjamin Liao
Benjamin Allan Liao was born on August 21, 2014 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Soon after his birth, he was transferred to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital where we were introduced to a compassionate team led by Dr. Walkovich and Dr. Connelly. It was there where we learned about hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, its clinical significance, and how it would impact our family moving forward. We are passionate about supporting the mission of the NICER consortium to advance the education, clinical care, and research of immuno-hematologic disorders in memory of our beloved son Benjamin.
